One of the most underrated things in Manila - a cup of chili from Chili's (well if you're gonna name your joint Chili's..) Then there's the nachos. Always yummeh!
Weekend musings
If you're looking for an indulgence today, you may want to venture to @lepetitsouffleph in @centurymallph and taste this crazy roasted bone marrow with steak tartare. NUTS!
Roasted bone marrow with steak tartare.
If that isn't enough, you many finish with this #Echire butter mille feuille.
Rather snazzy, @tuantuanmanila . Welcome to the BGC 'hood😁 Classy stuff
This great turnip cake with XO sauce from @tuantuanmanila at @smaurapremier 😍 Classic stuff!
Ronin + Hong Kong Hits
Some of the best sashimi I've had this year - shima aji, saba, tai sea bream with Japanese bottarga, and aji horse mackerel. Man. The chef clearly respects is fish. 🐟 #Ronin

Udon so flavorful my companion asked about what kind of cheese they used. There is no cheese here. Just really good udon from Japan, a very concentrated clam dashi, and miso with a load of chopped up clams. Well done! #Ronin
Udon
Well, hello. ❤ Damn ... You're pretty
#Kagoshima beef - and a beautiful egg - are about to mix it up!🙈 Love it. #Ronin

The Hong Kongers have leveled up the fish ball game, giving more variety (Pork neck!) and basting it in this spicy curry tinged sauce. They also have this fake "sharks fin" soup with a lot of black vinegar which hits the spot when it's cool out. 😍🤘🏼🎉
And as I wait to go home, I pee in front of the prettiest urinal mural ("ural") I've ever seen. Well done, Hong Kong. Sa uulitin!
Sayonara Omotesando
One of Tokyo’s most unique, beloved coffee experiences is coming to an end: Omotesando Koffee, tucked in a tiny, traditional Japanese house a few blocks from the bustling Omotesando shopping street, will close at the end of the year, the shop confirms to Quartz.

Hey longga lovers - this stuff is worth a try! Probably one of the cleanest tasting lingganisas I've ever eaten - mainly because it doesn't have extenders or preservatives. All natural is always best! (And it's not overly garlicky either) D'Famous Imus Longganisa of Imus, Cavite -- order at +639151371888; +639155055886.
Malipayon Farms
What do you do when the wind is swirling and it's storming outside? Go to a farm, of course!😜 Yep, went mud skiing and earth worm digging with these peeps. Fun though! Hehe!😁 Thanks for having us, Gejo! Do go check out #MalipayonFarms
Microgreeeens
One of my favorite veggies - wing beans, also known as sigarilyas.
Giant bay leaf tree - taller than me!😁
Gaggan
Meeting Chef Gaggan of @gaggan in Bangkok - top dog of Asia.
I'm not sure what @chele999 put in this carpaccio (I heard burnt butter, among other things) -- but in the end, who cares what he put? Haha! It's delicious!
So much win: crab in "comfort curry" and coconut milk with fragrant basmati rice. Yummeh!
Playing with balls - frozen cream, white chocolate and mango 😁
Rock n roll, baby!🙌🏽 This gent is easily one of the most engaging chefs I've met. Must make a beeline and try to get into #Gaggan in Bangkok!
This lunch was crazy, chaotic and also FUN! Thanks for the opportunity to eat the grub of @gaggan and @chele999 at @galleryvask , @chertiu 😁 Well done!
Crappy pic but I wanted to post it because these are the unsung heroes of today's lunch (a spur of the moment thing immediately following last night's tasting dinner, also at Gallery VASK) - Maraming salamat, Team #GalleryVask, Team #VaskTapasRoom and Team #Gaggan!
Cross cultures with Chefs Gaggan (Bangkok) Chele (Espana) Claude Tayag (Pampanga)!
Ogawa Manila
Hey #BGC - new Japanese joint alert! Say "Konnichiwa" Ogawa Traditional Japanese Restaurant - located above Tony Roma's along the Fort Strip!😁🇯🇵🍣🍛🍱
So at the press launch today, you get to pick up rolled paper from a little box upon which was written what you get served for lunch. I think I got REALLY lucky...😍(lobster/beef teppanyaki teishoku)
the dramatic doorway (that door is over a hundred years old.
Open kitchen so you can see the action!
Uni-unihan..😜 fresh and sweet - jazz like me.😍
Winner.😜 3 kinds of spicy sashimi: tuna, salmon and lapu-lapu.🐟 #OgawaManila
